This meditative state is the source of inspiration, where ideas emerge and can take shape: the seamless flow of mind to hand. Hence her always circularly knitted or felted garments: seamless, reversible. Her designs prioritize natural flow and thoughtful construction. Always seeking simple, recognizable shapes such as sweaters, t-shirts, cardigans or trousers. Embellishment is very subtly used and barely noticeable. Nothing is coincidental - every stitch or fiber is a deliberate part of the design and has a function. Having met Per Den Boer in 2023, we've had extensive talks about her brilliant work and craft. All the steps in the making of these luxurious merino wool sweaters are done by hand. That includes the felting of the wool strands by hand, pattern development by hand, knitting by hand, construction details by hand. A total of 90 hours goes into the making of 1 complete wool sweater.
